When not building global supply chains or optimizing product systems, you’ll likely find me in the water either surfing, diving the Channel Islands, or learning from the ocean that has shaped much of my outlook on sustainability and community. My early years as an ocean lifeguard, combined with surf and dive travel across the world, sparked a deep commitment to conservation and the protection of marine ecosystems.
I am an active member of the Channel Islands Dive Club, where we participate in coastal dives and support marine rehabilitation and education efforts. I also stay connected with a strong Southern California surf network rooted in community, equity, and inclusion.
Outside of the ocean, I spend my time on the golf course, constantly working to improve my handicap and enjoying the rhythm of the game. Most weekends, you’ll find me outdoors, hiking, swimming, or exploring new environments that inspire the same curiosity I bring to my work.
These pursuits outside of the office shape my belief in longevity, whether in products, partnerships, or the planet.
About Me
Education: University of California - Riverside
Bachelor of Arts in Sociology
Summa Cum Laude - Class of 2013
UC Riverside’s nationally recognized Sociology Department provided a rigorous foundation in the study of systemic inequality, environmental justice, and community impact. I graduated with highest honors, driven by a focus on understanding how infrastructure and policy affect everyday lives.
My academic interests centered on the environmental and social consequences of freight transportation. This work led to a research role with the Center for Community Action and Environmental Justice (CCAEJ), where I contributed to regional studies examining how trucking routes and logistics infrastructure impacted public health and socioeconomic conditions in underserved communities.
This experience shaped my belief that supply chains are not only economic systems but social systems. It instilled in me the importance of designing efficient, transparent logistics networks that minimize environmental harm and contribute to healthier, more equitable outcomes for the communities they pass through.
Industry Memberships and Involvements
K-Startup Grand Challenge – Finalist (2019–2020)
As a finalist in South Korea’s K-Startup Grand Challenge, I was selected from a global pool of applicants to participate in this government-sponsored accelerator supporting international startups expanding into the Asian market. The program included mentorship from Korean industry experts, access to investor networks, and immersion into Korea’s manufacturing and logistics infrastructure. This opportunity deepened my global supply chain experience and laid the groundwork for cross-border production and partnership development.
Make It in LA – Catalyst Program (2018–2019)
Selected as part of the Catalyst Class of 2018, I joined a community of Los Angeles-based manufacturers, entrepreneurs, and creatives focused on advancing local product innovation and production. The program provided direct mentorship from industry leaders and facilitated access to local manufacturing resources, including factory tours and supply chain workshops. My participation helped bridge the gap between early-stage design concepts and full scale production, strengthening my understanding of localized, sustainable supply chains in Los Angeles.
GRID110 – Entrepreneur Cohort Member (2018)
As part of GRID110’s downtown Los Angeles cohort, I participated in a city-backed startup accelerator program that provided office space, mentorship, and strategic growth resources tailored for early-stage founders. Through GRID110, I worked alongside civic-minded entrepreneurs, receiving support on business development, pitching, and operational systems all with the goal of building scalable ventures rooted in community values and sustainable growth.
SCORE – Young Entrepreneurial Mentorship Program (2013–2016)
I was paired with experienced business owners and executives through SCORE’s national mentorship network. Over the course of three years, I received one-on-one guidance in strategic planning, budgeting, product development, and marketing. The program was foundational in helping me transition from concept to execution while developing leadership skills necessary to grow a small business.
